Dr. Meir Wikler
Dr. Meir Wikler earned his masters and doctoral degrees from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He served as staff therapist and consultant for the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Service in Brooklyn, New York. A former Professor at Wurzweiler, he is now in full-time private practice of psychotherapy and family counseling, specializing in the treatment of Orthodox and Chassidic adults and children. And he writes a weekly advice column, “Partners in Parenting,” for the HAMODIA.
Dr. Wikler has published over 70 articles in various clinical journals as well as lay periodicals such as The Jewish Observer. He has also written eight books - Bayis Ne’eman b’Yisrael: Practical Steps to Success in Marriage (Feldheim, 1988), AiSHeL: Contemporary Stories of Jewish Hospitality (Feldheim, 1994), Einei Hashem: Contemporary Stories of Divine Providence in Eretz Yisrael (Feldheim, 1997), Partners with Hashem: Effective Guidelines for Successful Parenting (Artscroll, 2000), Zorei’a Tzedakos: Contemporary Stories of Divine Providence (Feldheim, 2003), Ten Minutes a Day to a Better Marriage (Artscroll, 2003), Partners With Hashem 2: More Effective Guidelines for Successful Parenting (Artscroll, 2006), and Partners in Parenting: Questions Parents Ask; The Answers They Need (Artscroll, 2011).
In addition, Dr. Wikler serves on the Board of Governors of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists, the Board of the Yitti Liebel Help-Line, and he is a National Officer of the Agudath Israel of America. His clinical work has been featured in such publications as The New York Times, The Jerusalem Post, and Mishpacha Magazine.
